Greeting

I want to always feel the present

Engaging with art and culture is like a journey through time and space. The prayers inscribed in ancient murals, the memories of local cultures embodied in the melodies of distant lands, the questions to society embedded in contemporary art—all of these allow us to experience "the gaze of others." Through these works, we come into contact with lives and values different from our own, and unknowingly build a bridge of "empathy."
Furthermore, the act of creating is not only about confronting the outside world, but also about traveling within oneself. Picking up a brush, playing music, moving the body—each of these actions scoops up unspoken emotions and thoughts that have not yet taken shape, and makes them visible. Creation is a "quiet adventure" that engages in dialogue with the depths of oneself, and it is full of possibilities for discovery and transformation.
Furthermore, art is also something that poses questions. It is not only beautiful, but at times unsettling, at times provocative, and it shakes up our preconceived notions. "What does this mean?" "Why am I drawn to this?"—through such questions, we re-examine our own sensibilities and values, and reconstruct how we interact with the world.
And above all, art creates connections. Like an invisible thread that connects artist and viewer, past and present, individual and society, self and others, art envelops us and gently teaches us the meaning of being together.
Perhaps that's why art is like a "light." It illuminates the path ahead in the darkness, guides you in the direction of confusion, and sometimes warms your heart. It's a quiet yet powerful light that leads not only to beauty, but also to questions, realizations, and connections.
